Directed by the 2022 Standard Bank Young Artists, the Theatre Duo - Billy Langa and Mahlatsi Mokgonyana, J Bobs Tshabalala’s Khongolose Khommanding Khommissars (KKK) is a peep through the keyholes into the living rooms of pot-bellied men as they plot to hog state resources, all while preparing mispronounced speeches to the poor. This epic satire closely looks at the conspicuous interactions and not entirely lawful activities of our modern day South African political camaraderie - Comrades. It dissects the deliberate manner that these dealings between politicians and businessmen contribute to South Africa’s chaotic political dispensation, the continued spread of elitist greed culture through corruption, using the game of words, “Comrade- speak”, to repeatedly promise the farce of a socio-political revolution to us.

" His dialogue is structured using quickfire rhyming couplets (Described as comrade-speak in the show notes) confidently delivered by a talented cast"

-Bruce Dennill
